Cricket 2016

Despite the terrible weather, cricket in Wandsworth hit new heights in 2016.

Fantastic support from Spencer Cricket Club, helped to make the Wandsworth Kwik Cricket Festivals the most memorable in recent years. A total of 48 teams played in the 3 competeitions held at Spencer Cricket Club, with fantastic support from Spencer CC & Surrey Cricket coaches.

A record 21 schools and almost 200 children competed in the Year 6 best competition, with Belleville beating The Roche in an excellent final.

The girls competition was competeed by 10 schools ended in a similar result with debutantes, Broomhall narrowly losing out to Belleville in the final.

17 schools played in the Year 5 competition, which was a huge success. Sherindale ended up wiinning a hard fought final against Allfarthing.

In addition to the primary event, we held two secondary competitions at Spencer with 8 schools taking part in the inaugrial Year 7/8 Cricket festival with 70 girls playing great cricket. A rain affected, boys competition attracted 3 schools playing hard ball cricket.
