Mini Tennis Red

80 children from 12 schools took part in the annual Year 3/4 Tennis competition at the National Tennis Centre in Roehampton. Despite an early downpour and following a major mop up by the centre staff, the tennis got underway on time.

Following a day of fantastic tennis with great support from umpires from Burntwood School, Roehampton University and All Stars Tennis, we reached the final matches. Both matches were to be played out by Belleville and Our Lady Queen of Heaven. In the B final Belleville ran out the winners, but in the A final, the fourtunes were reverse with Our Lady Queen of Heaven winng 3-1 against the reigning champions Belleville.

We all would like to wish OLQH the best of luck when they represent Wandsworth in the London School Games in July.

The Respect the Games awards for the event went to Allfarthing, Granard & Sacred Heart Battersea.
