During November the Partnership ran two 6 aside football festivals at Open view, which were both well attended by various schools from within the borough.
The first was held on Monday 16th and was for Year 3 and 4 boys and girls. The event was attended by Heathmere, Honeywell, St. Joseph’s, All Saints, Hotham and Swaffield. The Girls competition was won by St. Joseph’s and the boy’s by Honeywell.
The following week on the 23rd was the Year 5 and 6 festival. This event was attended by Honeywell, St. Ann’s, Brandlehow, Ablemarle, Broadwater, Earlsfield, Heathmere and All Saint’s. Honeywell boys were once again triumphant and Brandlehow cleared up in the girl’s competition.
Both events were played in the best of spirits, with great examples of fair play and team work displayed throughout.
All the games were refereed by Sports leaders from Battersea Park and Elliot, who excelled in their roles.
