Bouncing high in new facility!

Southfields Community College hosted Wandsworth SSP's trampoline competition again, but this time in their brand new trampoline hall.

It was a chance for the boys to get involved, so we organised a mixed competition.  Girls and boys from Y7-10 competed individually, as well as their scores combining for a team score.  The competitors were faced with different and more challenging routines.

In the Y7/8 girls team competition, Southfields won gold, Chestnut Grove took silver, Elliott claimed bronze and Graveney finished in fourth.  Hannah (Chestnut Grove) won individual gold, Celestia (Elliott) won silver and Megan (Southfields) took bronze.

Ricky (Southfields) was the only male competitor in the Y7/8 competition, but he performed like he had to beat 10 others, and deservedly took home an individual gold.

The Y9/10 girls team competition was entered by only Graveney and Chestnut Grove but proved to be a tough challenge as most of the girls performed the most difficult routine.  Chestnut Grove clearly won gold, with Graveney taking silver with an incomplete team.  The individual competition was hotly contested, with all three placings scoring over 10 points.  Courtney (Graveney) claimed gold, Toni-Marie (Chestnut Grove) took silver and Keesha (Chestnut Grove) won bronze.

Although Graveney were the only team to enter a Y9/10 boys team, this meant it was a intra-school battle for first, second and third.  Nerves played a big part in the placings and Ballentyne held his composure the best to take gold, Spike claimed silver and Eddie finished with bronze.

With trampoline competition firmly on the SSP calendar, we look forward to more bouncing battles next year.  Thank you to Marsha Joseph and Junior Hayden that judged the competition, and to Southfields for hosting once again.
