National Tennis Centre, Roehampton
The National Tennis Centre (NTC) opened in 2007 and is a focal point for Britain's top players. It has 22 courts, player accommodation and a world class sports science centre.
Not only does it provide high quality facilities for elite players, it offers excellent coaching facilities for school children in Wandsworth. In summer 2008, the NTC set up breakfast tennis sessions for primary schools in the borough. The NTC provides transport, picking the children up from their schools first thing in the morning and drops them back to school ready for the start of school. As well as providing an excellent coaching, a healthy breakfast is provided to promote an active and healthy lifestyle.
Many primary schools are looking forward to the summer term 2010 when this programme will commence again.
The National Tennis Centre also hosts one of our three Primary Link Teacher conferences each year.
