As part of the FA Girls Football Partnership in Wandsworth, we are working with AFC Wimbledon Foundation to host a Year 3/4 Girls World Cup Football Festival at Southfields Academy. The festival will be on Tuesday 18th June 2019 and celebrate the FIFA Women's World Cup playing in France.

School entering will be allocated one of the 24 nations competing in the World Cup and will be asked to come prepared with a cultural representation of the country. This could be a flag, banner, song, football chant, national anthem, poem, dance or performance of something relating to your given country.

On the day we will be having an opening ceremony/parade, plus a 'stage' area, where schools will be able to perform their piece to other schools.

Schools are invited to bring one squad of 10 girls. 7-a-side matches will form part of the festival, but please note. It is not a competition.
