Battersea Park dominate Wandsworth Basketball

Battersea Park School proved to be too strong for allcomers in this year's U14s Basketball in Wandsworth. In a fitting finale to the Wandsworth Basketball Leagues, BPS ran out winners in both the Boys and the Girls Competitions beating determined teams from St John Bosco College.

The girls final was an enthrallingly close affair with Battersea Park finally winning 27 -22 against a committed St John Bosco team in what was an exciting game.

The same two schools lined up in the U14 Boys Final and at the half time break the scores were level at 16-16. BPS domintated the 3rd quarter building up what appeared to be an winning victory. However, St John Bosco team set up a nervous finish by scoring 10 points without response. BPS regrouped in the final quarter and finally ran out winners 44-36.

By winning both titles Battersea Park defended their titles as U14 Boys and Girls Champions and will go on to represent Wandsworth in the next round of the London School Games U14 Basketball Competitions.

Well done and good luck in the next round!
