Change 4 Life Sports Festival
Southfields Academy hosted a Year 3/4 Change 4 Life Sports Festival to celebrate the primary schools involvement in the programme. 172 Children from Albemarle, St Anne's, Granard, Riversdale and Brandlehow schools took part in the event led by sports leaders from Southfields and Ricards Lodge Schools.
The event was organised by Marsha Joseph and Nick Miller from Southfields Academy and involved the children taking part in a wide range of game and activities from the Change 4 Life Sports Clubs resource cards.
Ms Joseph said, "It was fantastic to see some many youngster being physically active and enjoying themselves at the same time. It was also lovely to recieve so many positive comments about our sports leaders working with the younger children. They were excellent and great role models".
Nick Miller said," the Change 4 Life clubs have been really well recieved in the schools and the event was a great celebration of the programme."
