Mini Tennis is a Smash Hit!

The Wandsworth Mini Tennis Competition  goes from strength to strength with another record number of schools competing in a a fantastic day of tennis at the Wandsworth Mini Red Tennis Competition at The National Tennis Centre.

13 Schools and 20 teams took part including; Belleville, Beatrix Potter, Broadwater, Earlsfield, Franciscan, Heathmere, Honeywell, Oour Lady Queen of Heaven, Penwortham, Sacred Heart Battersea, St George's, St Mary's Battersea & Swaffield.

The matches were umpired by sports leaders from Graveney School and Southfields Academy.

After a day of high quality tennis and 156 games later, Honeywell and Penwortham won through to meet each other in the final, with Honeywellwinning a thrilling final by the narror margin of 2points. They will now go on to represent Wandsworth in the London School Games final at Crystal Palace.

The Third and 4th Play-off between Belleville and Our Lady Queen of Heaven was equally close with OLQH winning the Bronze medals by 2 points.

In the 'B' competition, Belleville came first, Honeywell 2nd, with Beatrix Potter coming third.
