Key Steps Gymnastics 2018

Southfields Academy hosted the annual Wandsworth School Games Primary Gymnastics competition on Wednesday, 2nd May. It was certainly the biggest event so far with 24 schools, 61 teams and 306 children participating on the day.

Nick Miller from Southfields said 'It is amazing to see how the standard of the gymnastics of the children across all the schools has improved dramatically in the last few years'. This was reflected how close the final results are between the teams. Congratulations to the Belleville teams that were victorious in the two age categories.

Schools were also rewarded for demonstrating outstanding School Games Values of Determination and Self Belief. Riversdale primary school won an award for 'Encouraging and praising each other and for staying to watch and applaud all the other teams on the vault'    T

Thanks to Ilisha Boardman from Broomwood School, Miss Myers and Miss Carter from the Southfields Academy PE Department for judging the event and to Emily Santos from Year 10 who performed two fantastic songs to all the students attending.
