Festival time at Elliott School

Last Friday, 20th November, saw 160 Yr 3 and 4 students converge on Elliott School grounds for a full day of sporting activities led by 6th Form students.  Elliott School, taking full advantage of the borough wide inset day kindly offered their facilities to 6 local Primary Schools.

The 6th Form Leaders from Elliott had recently completed a Day Sport Leaders Award.  They led and managed the sessions superbly!  The Leaders offered 8 different sports ranging from Kick Boxing to Tennis, among others, for the Yr 3 and 4 students to try. 

Feedback from visitng schools were full of praise for the way the Elliott Leaders conducted themselves on the day.  'Thanks for a fantastic event!  The kids came back to school raving about the day', said Etty Van Der Merwe from Heathmere Primary School.

One more thank-you to Elliott School for hosting the event, and to St Anne's, Our Lady of Victories, Brandlehow, Granard, Sacred Heart, and Heathmere Primary schools for attending the event.
