X Country Finals

December kicked off with the X Country Final at King George's Park.

With a slighter longer course and more mud, the finals were set to be a challenge; one that all the children were up for!

The Year 5 girls race was paced perfectly by winner Sophie Hillier (Putney High), with Kate Shillitoe from Honeywell in second and Julia Salveson (St Mary's) taking third.  In the Year 5 girls team event, Honeywell finished first, Putney High in second and All Saints in third.

The boys Year 5 race was won by Luke Snelson from Holy Ghost, in second was Arthur McCahon (All Saints) and in third was Kit Goddard (Honeywell).  The Y5 boys team event was won by All Saints, Honeywell finished second and Holy Ghost came third.

The Year 6 girls race was dominated by Putney High whose runners finished one, two and three.  Amelie Louveaux took first, Charlotte Stewart took sencond and Dora Marshall took third place.  This put Putney High on top in the Y6 girls team event, Honeywell finished second and St Mary's claimed third place.

The boys Year 6 race saw James Driscoll take first place, and Sam Helm in second, both from All Saints, and Tom Cawley from Honeywell claimed third place.  Honeywell finished first in the team event for this category, with All Saints in second and St Mary's in third.

In the overall team event, second and third place was closely contested with Holy Ghost finishing in third, and All Saints in second place.  Honeywell's consistently strong performance ensured they won the overall team event.

Congratulations to all the runners, all of whom completed the gruelling course.  Thanks to all parents and teachers who marshalled.
