Brandlehow, Riversdale, Sheringdale and St. Anne's Primary schools all started their cricket season early this year as they took part in the Wandsworth Capital Kids Cricket League.
In a round robin competition each team played each other in the hope of finishing in the top two and progress to the Capital Kids Cricket Finals at The Brit Oval on Friday 26 February.
With each week, the improvement within the teams was visible and the scores got better and better. The highlight throughout the tournament was the screaming catches that were taken by all teams, and the team spirit in which games were played.
Sheringdale topped the league, having won every game, and Brandlehow will join them in the Finals having beaten St Anne's in the final match of the league.
Thanks to Tom Billingham for umpiring the league and thanks to all the teachers and parents for their support. We wish Sheringdale and Brandlehow the best of luck for the finals and we look forward to some great cricket in the summer.
