The Wandsworth Primary School Bee Netball Tournaments were back after a two year absence due to Covid-19. The even was held over two glorious days at Burntwood School. With the finlas being played at Southfields Academy on 15th March.
The Roche School kept up their great record with a double victory in the new look Wandsworth School Games Netball competitions. By winining, both the Aspire & Inspire competitions on Grand Finals day aganst Holy Ghost, they became worthy champions.
On Wednesday 23rd February, pupils from 12 schools entering 16 teams into the Heat one at Burntwood School with Umpires from Wandsworth Netball Club officiating all matches with Sports Leaders from Burntwood helping to run the tournament.
Heat 2 was held on Tuesday 8th March, with a further 11 schools and 16 teams competing to see who would qualify for the grand final.
Therefore , the Grand Final matches were as follows:
Aspire Final - The Roche v Holy Ghost
Inspire Final - The Roche v Holy Ghost
As mentioned earlier, The Roche ran out winners in both finals and their Aspire team will go on to represent Wandsworth in the London School Games final on 24th March.
