Year 3/4 Girls Football Festival 2023
Nineteen Schools, 193 Girls took part in our annual Year 3/4 Girls Football Festival at Southfields Academy on 6th October. The event run in partnership with the AFC Wimbledon Foundation promoted the Souhfields Academy's Barclays Girls Football School Partnership and is supported by the FA and Youth Sport Trust.
At the festival, the girls from Wandsworth primary schools learnt new footballing skills from AFC Wimbledon Foundation coaches.
Kasha Petit , Women & Girls Development Officer from AFC Wimbledon Foundation said "It was a great opportunity for the girls to learn new skills, make new friends but most importantly to have fun playing football"
Nick Miller, School Games Organiser said; "It was fantastic to see so many girls come along and show such enthusiasm in playing football. The AFC Wimbledon coaches were excellent and a fun time was had by all.
